    Left In Tatters…

    Sometimes you have to start over.  Sometimes you have to begin again.  I think few would argue that 2020 has been one of those years that make all of us long and linger for better days and a brighter future.   One of my favorite poems that I often had recited to me, that remind me of the current challenges of our day is none other than Rudyard Kipling’s “If.”

    Among its many lyrical gems, the most prominent stanza that always stood out to me was:

    If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;

        If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;

    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

        And treat those two impostors just the same;

    If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken

        Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

    Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

        And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

    -Rudyard Kipling

    This feels like where we are, as a nation, as a people, as a community, as neighbors; we are building what may have been broken with worn out tools.  We are hungry, and tired…but we persist.  It is in our blood…to carry on.  And it is in our mandate, as the Impossible Roads Foundation, to walk alongside you while you do so.

    So as you wrap up this year, and hopefully enjoy your holidays as best you can; do so, knowing, that there is a way.  There is a way forward.  And that there are people and organizations doing their best to fight for you, no matter what…broken tools and all.

    Do you have to begin again?  What does that look like for you?  How can the Impossible Roads Foundation provide better relief services to help you along your journey as you pick up the pieces and start over once more?

    Amazing and Impossible Solutions Require Unlikely Tools

    Unlikely and impossible adventures require unlikely and amazing tools. 2020 has been quite the adventurous year: Presidential elections, economic downturn,…
