Impossible Road’s Continued Commitment to Safety and those we serve
To those we serve,
As valued members of the Impossible Roads Foundation (IRF) family, I appreciate the trust you place in us as your emergency relief partner. This is a very difficult and unprecedented time, and I hope you and your loved ones are well. I want to emphasize that you can count on us to uphold the health and safety of our volunteers, community members and stakeholders as our highest priority as we continue to support you in the current environment.
With each day that passes, the coronavirus is presenting new challenges for many of us, with changes in work, school and community settings. It is our intention to keep you healthy and uplifted as we continue to operate our charity and services in accordance with guidance and restrictions put forward by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and government authorities. We have a very limited number of sites that have experienced mandated government shutdowns. In those scenarios, we are pleased to support our volunteers with the necessary support as they navigate uncertainty in the coming weeks.
I want to thank you for your collaboration with our teams to minimize the spread of the virus with heightened hygiene measures across all IRF sites. At the forefront of the spread of the virus, I am proud of our operations team’s quick action to ensure all sites and delivery/relief vehicles were well equipped with sanitation materials, while also following strict social distancing and hygiene guidelines to protect our volunteers and communities in need. We have also taken a cautious and proactive approach to in-person meetings, banning all travel globally, utilizing digital options, and encouraging volunteers to serve remotely where possible.
With every challenge, there is opportunity. Our team is taking advantage of this remote time to actively explore and offer new ways of communicating with, servicing and training. We’d like to ask for your collaboration in continuing regular meeting cadences via phone and online tools, if possible.
Thank you for your continued partnership and trust in the Impossible Roads Foundation as we manage through this together.
All my best,
Impossible Roads Foundation
